  Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a--Travel RN - Med/Surg 6 West Shift:--Days / 7a-7p, 12x3, 36 hrs per week Length: 13 weeksWeekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to--meet needs of departmentHoliday Requirement: rotate in with regular staff Requirements:
  • MS License
  • 2 Years Experience
  • Level 1 trauma experience required OR experience at a larger facility
  • with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes
  • BLS Other Details:
    • Floating Requirements: within skillset, all staff float between all medsurg units. higher--acuity patients would be given to core staff
    • # Beds 2 West: 13, 6 West: 14, 7 South: 12, 4 Wiser: 30, 5 Wiser: 25
    • Nurse:Patient Ratios typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be--adjusted down for higher acuity patients
    • Common diagnoses/Types of patients General medsurg, all patient populations, congestive heart--failure, diabetes, post surgical, trauma, acute kidney injury, sickle cell anemia, gastroparesis, and--respiratory illnesses
