  • Job Details
  • Large Level 1 hospital in Mississippi needs RN's for General MedSurg Unit.
  • Must have solid experience as an RN - 1 or more years level 1 trauma experience PREFERRED or experience at a Very large medical center with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients.
  • Must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes.
  • EPIC CHARTING experience is required.

      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hours shifts, 7a-7p or 7p-7a.
      • Travelers are expected to fill holes but managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows.
      • Weekend requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department.
      • Holiday requirement: rotate in with regular staff.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: Med/Surg 6S General MedSurg
        • # Beds: 32
        • Nurse:Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients.
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: current INFECTIOUS DISEASE, also takes medsurg overflow.
          • Additional Details
          • BLS; FINGERPRINT REQUIREMENT.
          • IN PERSON PROCESS can be printed in Jackson or Grenada MS the week prior to start (48 hr turnaround).
          • REMOTE PROCESS 10-14 days needed for processing.
          • Must have solid experience as an RN - 1 or more years level 1 trauma experience PREFERRED or experience at a Very large medical center with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes EPIC CHARTING experience is required.
