  • Job Details
  • This large Level 1 Trauma center located in heart of Mississippi is looking for Social Work Case Managers (LMSW or LCSW) to work 8hr days.
  • Must have level 1/large medical center experience in Inpatient/Acute Care Case Management/Discharge Planning.
  • Must have ACTIVE MS LICENSE and EPIC charting experience.

    • Must be SW Case manager with at least 2 years Acute Care Management experience.
    • Previous experience in large academic Medical Center hospital/Level 1 trauma center is required.
      • Schedule Information
      • M-F 8-4:30
      • Weekend Requirements: None
      • Holiday Requirements: Rotated as needed
      • Department Specific Orientation: 2 weeks (will include general facility orientation)
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Will cover all Inpatient units throughout the hospital
        • Case load/# patients per day/consults per day: 15-20
        • EMR: EPIC
        • Common types of patients & job duties: UMMC has contracts with 5 local facilities with 10 beds reserved at each facility to assist with the complex placements.
          • Additional Details
          • BLS; 50 MILE RADIUS RULE
          • Will take local candidates @ $70/hr
          • Fingerprint requirement can be done remotely (takes approx 10-14 DAYS) or in person in Jackson, MS 1 week prior to assignment
          • FLU VACCINE IS REQUIRED at UMMC - only medical exemption is allowed and requires documented evidence from a health care provider of a past severe reaction to the vaccine
